Exploding Kittens has made one of my new favorite party games: Throw Throw Burrito. It’s a mixture of high-speed set collection and dodge ball. The material the burritos are made of feels like a more flexible version of a stress ball. It doesn’t hurt and yet it’s still terrifying to have it aimed at you. In the game no one has a turn since it’s real-time. I personally love real-time games because it keeps people from getting too bored waiting for their turns. During the game players always have 5 cards in their hands but must discard to gain new cards in order to make sets of cards. These cards have that funky artwork that Exploding Kittens is known for. Most sets are random animal combinations, but you can gain extra points by making sets with the burrito cards. Plus initiate a burrito battle!
The game plays quickly but requires space and an area with nothing breakable around. I already have this game scheduled for my next game night it was so fun. It is not a game for lazy people. Expect to move a lot and be very paranoid that someone will match the burrito cards. If you like easy to play goofy games check this one out! I got it off Kickstarter so I’m sure you’ll be seeing it in game stores and possibly Target soon. And remember if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a burrito!
